The 106 projects in contention for awards across 30 categories are by design practices located across 18 countries including Australia, Singapore, Finland, Saudia Arabia and the Netherlands.The countries with the highest number of shortlisted entries are China with 39 entries, the United States with 22 entries and the United Kingdom with 13 entries.
Highlights among the projects shortlisted this year include a gemstone inspired jewellery store in Hangzhou, a playful rice pudding eaterie in New York and a welcoming build-to-rent residence in London.
Also shortlisted this year are an immersive shark exhibition at the American Museum of Natural History, a tranquil retreat in a scenic tourist spot in China’s Gaochun County and an elegant holiday resort in the Seychelles.
The WIN Awards are now in their 14th year and intended to celebrate the best interior designers, and their most impressive work, on an international scale.
The shortlisted projects are set to be assessed by our prestigious panel of expert judges including Woods Bagot Principal Christopher Lye, Tina Norden of Conran and Partners and Studio Illumine founder Azlan Nazam. The winners will be announced in November.
These winners will also have an opportunity to be chosen for the sought after judges’ awards as Interiors Practice of the Year, Emerging Interiors Practice of the Year and Outstanding Interiors Project of the Year.
